If you were planning to attend, we apologize for the inconvenience. Also, be on the lookout for special announcements coming soon about the 2013 Laurie, and next month’s guest speaker, Anna DeStefano.
Annual Retreat Roundup
Our annual retreat is now over, and our members had a wonderful time! Lots of writing accomplished, with Trista Michaels taking the award for most written with over 18,000 words! It’s a great way to start a new year.
Many thanks to all those who attended and helped make the retreat special. And also, we’d like to thank Cabins USA for their great service. The cabin was lovely, with all the amenities we could’ve asked for, responsive service, and a nice quiet place where we could write.
Our January meeting is next Saturday at the Ftn. City Branch Library. We start at 10:00 a.m. The program will be a judging workshop.
Laurie Contest Gearing Up
SMRW will not have a regular December meeting. We will have our annual Christmas party at the home of Leanne Tyler. There will be a white elephant gift exchange, great food, games, and good times.
And chocolate.
Lots of chocolate.
The Laurie Contest will begin accepting entries soon. For more information and the sample score sheet, please visit our Contest Page. The official rules and entry form will be available soon.
